Artist Talk: “Code in the Micro” by Jacquelyn Soo

Since 2013, Jacquelyn Soo has been exploring the idea of ‘blindness’ in the environment, neglecting our natural landscape and the impact it has on us. The project ‘Code in the Micro’ was realised in August 2014 at Arteles Creative Centre in Finland to discuss this. This series of works pinpoints the unique identity of the natural world with the homo sapiens. The human body has characteristics specific to oneself, so does the land with its personality. The artist’s fingerprints forms the focal point in a discussion of equality in the two worlds.
