We know things have been a little quiet of late at the Independent Archive – which makes us all the more chuffed to announce a new programme of fortnightly talks, discussions and other meetings of minds. Since it takes place every other Monday, and is by no means restricted to having a speaker talk for a bit and take questions after, we thought we’d call it the Monday Moot.

Date: 9 November 2015, Monday
Time: 7.00 – 9.00pm
Venue: Independent Archive, 67 Aliwal Street, Singapore 199942

Opening this series of discussions is the archive’s founding director, Lee Wen, who’ll give a rundown on the current state of performance art as he sees it, based on his personal experiences as a veteran practitioner of the medium both locally and abroad. Rather than a one-directional flow of information, this conversation will also serve as a workshop in performance art actions–if you feel that your practice might benefit from some fresh, performative perspectives, or you’d just like to have a taste of what it’s like on the other side of the artist-audience divide, do come by!

As a whole, this platform of discussion is open to talks, workshops, discussions, forums, and other ways of sharing knowledge and perspectives. If you’d like to work with us on this, let’s talk.
