The Production of Food is the Production of Stories: A Session with Elia and Dina
This session, the Independent Archive & Resource Centre partners with Post-Museum for Talk 4 of “More than [show] business: Post-PopUp at CCA“.
Artist Elia and independent curator Dina will broadcast from the city of Yogyakarta to talk about their recent work.
Elia and Dina set up a kitchen in the Kedai Kebun Forum and attempted to turn leftover ingredients from a Central Java sesame oil cottage industry into fine dining. They also worked with hawker fare from the village. As they sought to reframe the food, artists and others popped in to comment. Naturally, spontaneous feedback grew into a rich tapestry of narratives. Elia will speak about her work as a whole, and include this piece in particular.
Date: 26 July 2014
